Biography

Elizabeth was listed third among four children of Simon Moats receiving their first communion on 28 April 1816 in the Grindstone Hill German Lutheran Church near Quincy, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.[1] Since the typical age - at the time - for first communion in a German Lutheran church was 14, it is theorized that the youngest in 1816 was born in 1802. Assuming the eldest was listed first, Elizabeth's birth is estimated at 1800.
