Note: Henry attended public schools and graduated from the Centenary College in Louisiana in 1883. He studied law at Natchez and was admitted to the bar there in 1884. He opened his law office in Port Gibson, later serving as judge, mayor, and as trustee of the city schools. He was a member of the Methodist Church. In 1916, he moved his family to Indianola, Sunflower Co., later moving his office to Greenwood, Leflore Co., Mississippi.

March 10, 1888--H. C. Mounger has located in Port Gibson where he will devote himself to the practice of law.
July 22, 1908--Born to Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Mounger, a daughter. (Julia Marie)
December 8, 1888--Rev. E.H. Mounger, pastor of the Methodist Church...
April 20, 1899--Rev. E. H. Mounger is visiting his son, H.C. Mounger.
November 22, 1900--Mr. H.C. Mounger & family have moved to their new home near Chamberlain Hunt Academy.
May 17, 1902--Mrs. H. C. Mounger died at her home. She leaves a husband and 8 children.
March 20, 1911--Born to Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Mounger, a daughter. (Meredith)
