Went to the war at 17 and was in Braggs Army, fought Murfreesborough, Chickamauga, was captured and confined in Camp Douglass at Chicago. Went to school aftr the war at Summerville Institute, was twice elected Sheriff of Jasper County, was Supervisor of the Census for the 6th District of Miss.1900.
