Jess F. Mowery, 84, of 770 Brentlinger Rd. died at 11:40 a.m. Friday in Lima Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 15, 1893, in Allen County, he was a son of Isaac N. and Rhoda Snider Mowery. He married the former Evadna E. Tidd June 14, 1924, and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Everett (Betty) Rice of Sebring, Fla., and Mrs. Richard (Patty) Moyer of Rt. 1, Waynesfield; two sons, Donald of Findlay and Raymond of Westminster; four sisters, Clarissa Huwer and Mary Frick of here, Edna Conkle of Harrod and Mrs. Clinton (Tillie) Long of Elida; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Siferd Main Street Chapel, Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
