Biography

NATHANIEL MOWRY, son of Colonel Elisha, called " Major Nat," born December 18, 1774 ; married April 20, 1806, Lvdia Dexter, daughter of Jonathan Dexter. She was born in 1778, and died May 10, 1838, aged 60 years. He died July 6, 1843, aged nearly 69 years. Their son William Gulley Randall was born on December 20, 1810. ^[1]

WILLIAM G. R. MOWRY, son of Major Nathaniel, born Decrmber 20, 1810 ; married Novrmber 30, 1846, Lydla Olney, daughter of Obadiah Olney, and granddaughter of Elisha Olney, of Smithfield. She was born March 20, 1809. ^[1]

William Gulley Randall Mowry, fourth son of Nathaniel Mowry, 2d (or, as he was more generally known, Major Nathaniel Mowry), and Lydia Mowry, was born at Limerock, Smithfield, Rhode Island on December 20, 1810. He was married to Lydia, daughter of Obadiah Olney, of Smithfield, November 30.1846, by whom he had one daughtor, who died in infancy. ^[1]
