Biography

William was born in 1841. He is the son of Reuben Moyer and Catherine Weiss.

He and his wife had 2 other children, Daniel and a unnamed daughter, who both died young. They are not listed as sources could not be found at this time.

He served in the civil war. 1st in the 11th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company I, (3 months) then from 1862-1865. He was in the 110th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company H. He was the color bearer and was wounded at the battle of Winchester in 1864.
