Amo-scossite is the only documented offspring of Chief Moytoy:
He was a member of the Ani'-Ga'tâge'wi or Kitua ("Wild Potato") Clan.[citation needed]
When Governor Glen came to South Carolina in 1745, he invited Amo-scossite to Charleston, gave him a crown, and proclaimed him Emperor. The Cherokee chiefs simply ignored this, having accepted ‘Old Hop’ as their leader,[2] but the English governments of Virginia and South Carolina continued to refer to him as "Emperor" and to engage in trade relations with him. An account of a visit to Williamsburg can be found in the Colonial Records of Virginia. As proof of his position, Amoscossite brought with him a copy of the Articles of Peace and Commerce signed by Attakullakulla and others in London in 1730. [3]
As he no longer appears in historical records after 1756, he is believed to have died shortly thereafter, leaving no known descendants.
