Biography

Luis Muñoz Marin was a Puerto Rican poet, journalist, politician, and statesman, regarded as the "Father of Modern Puerto Rico"[1][2] and the "Architect of the Commonwealth."[1]

José Luis Alberto Muñoz Marin was born in 1898. José Luis Alberto Muñoz Marín was the son of Luis Muñoz Rivera and Amalia Marín Castilla.[2][3][4]

He first married Mura Lee. They lived in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.[5]

Luis Muñoz Marin and Inis Maria Mendoza married November 16, 1946, in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.[6]

He passed away in 1980.[4] He was buried in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico.[7]
