Biography

Cleophine "Cleo" Pauline (Mueller) Snelson, 71, of 2332 Wisconsin Avenue, New Holstein, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, 12 February 1994 at the Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was born on 4 October 1922 at Charlestown, Calumet, Wisconsin, the daughter of George Mueller, 1894-1986 and Helen (Woelfel) Mueller, 1894-1980. She married Richard William Snelson on 5 April 1945.

Mrs. Snelson grew up on a farm on South Mill Road Charlestown, Wisconsin; was a licensed practical nurse and worked at the Calumet Homestead in New Holstein until her retirement in 1985. Her memberships included: the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Christian Women's Society, New Holstein; the Daughters of Isabella; the Marion Circle, No. 923; the Chilton Eagles Auxiliary, No. 1288; the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary, No. 124; six card clubs and volunteering with the Red Cross Bloodmobile for many years.

Her survivors included: her children, George Snelson of Arkansas; Frank Snelson of Chilton, Wisconsin; Janet (Snelson) Hessil of New Holstein; four grandchildren; sisters, Sister Antona Mueller SSSF, nee Olydia Mueller of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; Lorraine (Mueller) Oldham of Green Valley, Arizona; Imelda "Maida" (Mueller) Apps of Green Bay; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Richard, 1921-1976; and brother, Norbert Mueller, 1925-1985.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, 17 February1994 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein where the Rev. Fr. Patrick Lloyd officiated.

Burial followed at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, New Holstein, Calumet, Wisconsin. The findagrave memorial ID is 76399699.
