He married Elizabeth Oliver in Warren Trumbull County, Ohio, on 31 Dec 1848. the 1850 United States Census shows him working as a miller; at that time, he was living in Warren.
The 1860 and 1870 census enumerations show him working as a laborer. His 1860 residence was in Warren. By 1870, he had moved to Mecca, Trumbull County, Ohio.
The 1880 United States Census shows him still living in Mecca. His stated occupation was as a saw-mill laborer.
He died on 05 Aug 1899, in West Mecca, Trumbull County, Ohio. His Ohio death record says that he was a sawyer. His death resulted from Bright's disease. His burial was at the East Mecca Cemetery, Trumbull County.
