Staatsburg - Diane W. Tompkins, 61, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the home of her daughter in South Hero, Vt., Diane was a lifelong Dutchess County resident and had been employed as a travel agent for American Express in Danbury, Ct.
Born October 3, 1944 at Vassar Brothers Hospital, she was the daughter of Theodore and Isabel (Coons) Muller.
She was predeceased on February 9, 1997 by her husband, Harold P.
Tompkins, whom she had married October 16, 1960 at St. Paul's Church, Pleasant Valley, NY.
Diane is survived by a son David, and his wife Nora Tompkins of Tyngsboro, MA; a daughter Diane, and her husband Michael Domenic of South Hero, Vt.; two grandchildren, Allyson and Connor; two sisters, Doris Wheeler of Conyers, GA, and Marilyn Luhmann of Rosendale, NY; a brother Craig Muller of Maysville, NC; Her Mother-in-law, Mildred Tompkins of Rhinebeck, cousins, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews and great grand nieces & nephews.
Calling hours are Friday, 5 to 7 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home,
51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck.
Funeral services are Saturday, 10 AM, at the Funeral Home; Rev. Thomas Hartley of the Clinton Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Schultzville Cemetery.
