Biography

When Joseph Muller was born on June 1, 1834, in Näfels, Glarus, Switzerland, his father, Joseph, was 27 and his mother, Francisca, was 27. He married Sarah Carral and they had five children together. He then married Elizabeth Bartlett in 1888. He died on December 31, 1916, in Nacogdoches, Texas, having lived a long life of 82 years, and was buried there in the Helpenstill[1] Cemetery. He served in the 4th Calvary Texas Mounted Volunteers in the Confederate States Army[2]

Joseph came from Nafels, Switzerland to Nacogdoches Texas in 1849
