Biography

John was born in Eurunderee, Mudgee NSW 1871 to parents John and Louisa MULLER, he died at Singleton in 1936 at the age of 65 years. He was a school teacher and his last place as teacher was at Roughit School a rural area of Singleton NSW. He married [Honora] Eveline MACBETH 1894 Coolah.

  • NEWS DEATH OF MR J. MULLER

The death occurred at the Dangar Cottage Hospital yesterday of Mr J. Muller, of Bishopgate-street, Singleton, at the age of 65, alter a lengthy and painful illness. Mr Muller was born at Mudgee, and came of one of the old pioneer families. He was employed in the Education Department for 45 years, and retired from his last school at Roughit, where he was in charge for 12 years. Mr Muller will be sadly missed by his large circle of friends, and is mourned by a loving and devoted wife and large adult family. The funeral took place from the Catholic Church at 4 p.m. to-day, and was conducted by Messrs Partridge Bros.

1936 Sep 14 Mudge Guardian: Mr. John Muller. Mr John Muller, a Mudgee district native, died last night at Singleton at the age of 66 after a long illness. Mr Muller, who spent the early part of his life in this district, was a school teacher, and had only recently retired from the service of the Education Department. Born at Eurunderee, he was the brother of Mrs J. Devoy (Mudgee), Mrs F. Hughes (Erudgeree), and Mr Fred Muller (Eurunderee) to whom the deepest sympathy will be extended by their many friends. The late Mr Muller is survived by a widow and a grown-up family.
