Foreman, Ottawa, Experimental Farm. Per death record.
Land owned by Alexander's grandfather, John Mulligan, was expropriated by the government in 1886, and used to create the Experimental Farm in Ottawa. Seems Alexander was working the land of his ancestors.
Burial 7 Feb 1946 at Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. [9]
Research Notes
It appears that Alexander and Matilda's children have different names shown on some of the records. This could be because they used a 'nickname' on the record, the original document has been transcribed incorrectly when moving to digital, or the record is simply difficult to read. I have corrected some spellings, and left other spellings as is when unable to confirm. In addition, not all Alex and Matilda's children have a profile on WikiTree as yet. Please add to/correct them if you're able.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Alexander by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Alexander:
