Biography

Hazel was born in 1923. She is the daughter of James Mulligan and Mabel Rethemeier.

Hazel K. Mulligan, 78, of Moline, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, in Moline.

Memorial services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Johns United Methodist Church, Davenport, where she was a member. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is at the church noon to service time Tuesday. Runge Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Hazel was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Warwick, N.D., the daughter of James and Mabel Mitchell Rethemeier Mulligan. She had been employed as a customer service representative for General Electric for over 30 years prior to her retirement.

She always will be remembered for her kindness and caring ways to everyone she knew and met. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Singleton's Organization of Davenport.

She is survived by a brother, James, and wife, Adele Mulligan, East Moline; nieces, nephews and spouses, Pat and Phil Bond, East Moline, Robbie Smith, Mesa, Ariz., Cecil Joe and Maria Roth, Richard and Barbara Berg, Elizabeth and Marlyn Hillesland, and Jennifer and Dwight Roberts, all of North Dakota;, James and Chris Mulligan, Warrenton, Va., and Sally and Dr. Joe Giordano, West Middlesex, Pa.; and a very special friend, Bill Peterson, Moline.
