Biography

Henry Mullins may have been born around 1740 in Virginia, but this has not been confirmed. He is believed to have married married Mary "Polly" Terry, but further evidence is needed. Their daughter Winefred Mullins was likely born around 1766 and married David Owen (b 1759).[1] Later his his life, Henry lived in Wilkes County, North Carolina.[2]

The earliest known record of Henry Mullins is a deed from William Owen in 1773 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.[3] Further research should be done to locate more records from this area and time period. He is last seen in the records in the census of 1810.[4]

Some claim he served in the Revolutionary War, but there is no DAR record or pension file found.

Mullins-3497 and Mullins-1244 appear to represent the same person because: error 106, vital data is basically the same, although linked family presents some differences and should be checked before merging (parents, spouses, children, etc)
