DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:
There are two lines of Mullins that frequently get confused with one another. Both have very similar, if not almost identical, family names and dates of birth. According to my findings, one of the families roots are in France, the other in Ireland. I presume that is the reason many of the profiles in this line have been abandoned. I have working on the line for quite some time and am attempting to bring the facts involved to some sort of sense. I'll continue to work on it and hopefully we'll be able to bring some of these profiles together and/or put them in the correct place.
In the case of this profile, the creator indicated in 2014 that she created a duplicate profile in error and intended them to be the same person. I agree that Mullins-337 should merge with Mullins-4578.
There is conflicting information here. At the top, Richard is listed as being born in 1715 and his son William being born in 1721 which would make him 6 yrs old. In the biography, the birth is 1698 in France. Also since his father was born in Colonial Virginia, isn't it odd that his son would have been born in France?
