Griffin was born about 1818. He married Colleen Smith.[1] In 1850, they were living in Pulaski, Georgia with three children, Caroline, Martha and Becky. [2]In 1860, they had another daughter, Polly and two sons, James H. and John W. R. Mullis. [3] By 1880, they are living in Salem, Georgia with adult daughter Rebeccann.[4] He passed away about 1895.
