Biography

Birth and Early Life

Edouard Mumley was born on the 18th of June, 1846 to Edouard Montminy and Zoe Campbell. The exact location of his birth is unknown, some documents list Alburgh, Vermont, while some list Canada. He was baptized on the 9th of February, 1847 in Coopersville, New York at St-Joseph-Du-Corbeau church. [1]

Edouard was most likely born in Alburgh as he lived there his entire life as evidenced by the census records. Coopersville most likely had the nearest Catholic Church at the time which explained why he was baptized there.

He only appears to have been baptized as Edouard, every record after that he's referred to as Edward. Likely due to being baptized in a french catholic church.

Marriage

On the 31st of December, 1868, Edward married Agnes Picard (Records list Pecor, english/anglicized version.) in Alburgh, Vermont. [2]

Some time after the death of his wife Agnes in 1912, he moved in with his son Nelson, also in Alburg.

Death

Edward died on the 12th of November, 1928 in Alburg, Vermont. Note: The death record lists incorrect parents, either due to confusion when the information was being filled out or when the questions were asked. [3]
