Mary Ann's husband Frederick Joseph died in 1906 at Camberwell Union Infirmary and was buried 21st May 1906 at Ladywell Cemetry, Lewisham, London, England[4].
On 11th May 1916, Mary Ann is recorded as living at 66 Worcester Street, Christchurch, New Zealand, when her youngest daughter Alice married James Thomas Sharp of Walthamstow {Essex} England at Durham Street Church[5]
Mary Ann MADDAMS died 30 May 1932 at 115 Marine Parade, Seatoun[6], Wellington, New Zealand[7], having emigrated from England sometime between the 1911 UK census and in time for her to be eligible for inclusion in the 1919 NZ electoral roll.
A Mrs. M Maddams is listed with a Miss A. Maddams as leaving London for New Zealand aboard the "Mamari" in 1912[8]
