Allen Munroe married Mary Howard, who died on 5 Apr 1865 at the age of 32, according to a gravestone at the Evergreen Cemetery in Milo, Maine, which identifies her as the wife of Allen Munroe and the daughter of Silas and Betsey Howard.[6]

Allen Munroe died on 16 Jun 1883.[3] His gravestone at the Evergreen Cemetery in Milo, Maine, says that he died on that date at the age of 87 years, 5 months, 16 days.[7]
