WA--Everett Daily Herald....30 Mar 1968 LESTER J MUNSON: of FederalAve; 77, pioneer resident of Washington, died at a Seattle hosp Mar 19th after a brief illness. MrMunson was born 28 Sep 1890 in Shelton & had lived in WA all his life, with the past 30yrs in Everett. He was a member of the First Church of Christ-Scientist, Alpha Lodge-212 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Royal Arch & Eastern Star-222--all of Everett. He was a retired real estate salesman. He leaves a wife-Mildred at home, 2 daus: L'Esther Zelmer-Marysville; Mildred Galland-Seattle; a son-LtCol Gene Munson-in active duty USAirForce-Boston MA; 2 bros: Laurance & Herald-both Shelton; 5 grandsons & 3 granddaus. Memorial services will be Monday afternoon in Solie Funrl Home. Cremation was in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to the First Church of Christ-Scientist Sunday School.

++++++++++++++++++ Cynthia's BIO WA--Shelton-MasonCnty Journal..11 Feb 1927 CYNTHIA MUNSON: After nearly a month's cri-tical illness, the death of Mrs Cynthia Munson occurred at her home Sunday [2-06], due to peritonitis & complications beyond relief. Death though not entirely unexpected came as a shock to the community in which her life had been spent. Funeral services which were largely attended were held at the Masonic Temple Wednesday afternoon. The serivce was conducted by MrsHugh Munro of Olympia, a reader of the Christian Science church, the faith with which Mrs Munson was affiliated. A profusion of floral offerings buried the casket & favored songs were given during the service. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery. The services at the grave were according to the Eastern Star ritual by officers of the Shelton Eastern Star Lodge. The deceased was born 16 Nov 1896 in Sheltn & her girlhood was spent here, her education in the local schools, her graduation from the high school being in the class of 1915. She was married to Lester J Munson 12 years ago & except for several years spent in San Francisco, Shelton continued to be her home. Besides her sorrowing husband, she leaves a son: Gene Deer Munson-age 10; her mother-Mrs Martha Deer; 4 sisters: Mrs Dora Smith, Mrs Gyneth Parsons, Alta & Martha Deer & 2 brothers: Dewey & Theodore. She was popular as a girl and as matron, and active part in social and fraternal life, and the community mourns as well as sympathizes with the bereaved ones. From her connection with 2 of the earlier families of this section Mrs Munson was widely known, as she was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
