Daughters of the American Revolution
Samuel Munson is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A204942.

Samuel Munson was born 15 September 1717 in Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut. He married (1) Elizabeth Potter on 9 November 1743, (2) Mary Allen on 9 October 1745, and (3) Sarah (_____) Prudden on 1 May 1751, all at First Presbyterian Church of Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey.

Samuel Munson is presumed to have been in Rowan County, North Carolina by 14 July 1765, when his daughter Ruth married Benjamin VanCleave there. Samuel appeared on the 1768 tax list of Rowan County (Jonathan Hunt's list).

Samuel appeared on the 1782 tax list for Montgomery County, Virginia. No tax lists for Montgomery County 1783-1786 survive. By 1787, Samuel was in Fayette County, Kentucky, where he appears on the 1787, 1788, 1789 and 1790 tax lists. He presumably died in late 1790 or early 1791.
