On 27, Jan. 1838, Franklin Warren Murdock was born to Warren Murdock and Charlotte Pratt Murdock in Concord, Pennsylvania. He died on 15 Aug 1896.[1]
As were so many of that era, he was destined to be a farmer, .
He married Mary Ann Gray Murdock.--Does this explain why Celia Gray was later found to be living with them?
The two had three children together.
Now a handful of random notes on the man:
In 1870, as reported on the census, the value of his real estate was placed at $3,000, and the value of his personal estate was placed at $2,000. He was a farmer, and his wife, Mary, was housekeeping. His son Irvin/Irving Franklin was at school, while his younger son Willie, was still at home. At this time, Celia Gray, then aged 17 was living with the family.[2]
The question is why was Celia Gray living with the Murdocks at this time? Did something happen to one or both of her parents?
And it appears that he served on Jury Duty in 1892.[3]
