AGNES COINER

Agnes M. (Rose) Coiner, 86, formerly of Route 4, Fort Scott, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Arkhaven Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 9, 1909, at Grove, Okla. the daughter of Rhondna F. and Rose Wood Murdock. She married Lawrence Brooks Coiner on Oct. 17, 1930, at Neosho, Mo. He died Jan. 30, 1977. She graduated from Elfin Dale Catholic Girls High School in Springfield, Mo. She and her husband moved to Bourbon County in 1939. She worked for 25 years at Calhoun's where she managed the baby department. She retired in 1971. She was a member of Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church; St. Anne's Altar Society, AARP; Union Bend Birthday Club; and Northwest Scott FCE.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence Brooks Coiner Jr., Lake Fort Scott; and two grandchildren, Cathy Coiner and Kent Coiner.

Father Eugene Grabner will celebrate the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Churh.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Seneca, Mo.

Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. today at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School, in care of the funeral home.
