Biography
George was born in 1902. He was the son of John Murgatroyd and Mary Fletcher. He passed away in 1972. George attended Christ church Boys High School on his return to New Zealand and then took up the farm bought by his father in 1924. He farmed there until his death in 1972. Leaving the farm to the Ian Murgatroyd family which the took over in 1978
