James was born in Apperley Bridge, on 1 May 1842 [1]& baptised James Murgatroyd, 10 July 1842, Calverley, St. Wilfred, Yorkshire the son of Benjamin Murgatroyd & Mary. [2]
With siblings & parents in 1851 living in King Charles Street, Bradford, Yorkshire. [3]
Living in Nelson Terrace, Litchurch, Derbyshire in 1861 with widowed father & siblings. [4]
He passed away in 1894.
