Just as we go to press we learn of the death of Aunt Lucinda Murphree which occurred at her home six miles northeast of Oneonta Tuesday. Mrs. Murphree was 87 years of age and was one of the pioneers of the county. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church and was noted for her deeds of kindness to those about her. The funeral services will be held at the old Mt. Moriah cemetery near her home today (Wednesday) and will be conducted by Rev. S.C. Allgood. [5]
