Biography
Son of James Andrew Murphree and Rebecca Frances Murphree. Married to Cinda Rilla "Sydney" Murphree on 19th September 1872 in Blount County, Alabama. They had following children: Dora Etta, Sarah Frances, Andrew Green, Zula Rebecca and Celia Cyrena Murphree.[1]
A former citizen of Blount County, Alabama. He was a local minister in the Southern Methodist church and always took a great interest in church affairs.
He was living near Ensley, Alabama at the time of his death at aged 63 years of age in the Birmingham infirmary, Alabama on a Friday morning. He was held in high esteem by those who knew him. His remains were carried to Oak Grove cemetery near Blountsville for interment. [2]
