Biography

Daniel was born about 1747 in either Bertie County, North Carolina. He is the son of Daniel Murphree and Sarah Dempsey. [1]

He married Mary Bullard about 1773 in North Carolina.[1] They were the parents of Celia, Daniel, Dicey, and Aaron.

He served with the NC Militia, Capt Isaiah Hogan's Company.[citation needed] According to family tradition, he died in the American Revolutionary War in 1781, not proven. ABT 1783 [1][2]
