Biography

Bertha was born in 1873. Her parents were Allen Gillim Murphy and Mary Ellen (Rouse) Murphy.

In 1880 she was 6 and living with her parents, Allen and Mary, and younger sister Nellie in Ohio. [1]

She married (1) Samuel Deever in 1892. [2] This marriage ended in divorce.

In 1898 she married (2) Milton I. Keltner in 1898. [3]

They had a son, Earl, in 1900. [4]

In 1910 Bertha and Milton were living in Illinois with 2 children: Earl and Virginia. [5]

In 1920 the four of them were living in Illinois. [6]

They had a son named Milton that died in 1923. [7]

In 1930 Bertha and Milton were living in Illinois with 27 year old daughter Virginia and Bertha's mother Mary Murphy. [8]

In 1940 they were living in Illinois with 2 adult children: Earl and Virginia. [9]

Bertha died in 1948. [10][11]

She was buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia.
