Biography
Kate Murphy was born in 1880, her birth registered at Mount Korong, Victoria. She is the daughter of Thomas Murphy and Mary Ann O'Reilly. [1]
In, or before 1925, as Catherine Imelda Murphy, she married a widower, Daniel Donnelly. While the index entry is dated 1925, the registration number is followed by 'C', which means the original registration has been corrected in some way during that year. The actual marriage might have happened earlier. In 1925, Catherine would have been 45, and her husband 67. [2]
In 1941, she was widowed when Daniel passed away, aged 83.
