Biography
According to her age at death, Amanda Eileen Gerard Murphy was born about 1906. The 1934 death notice for her brother, combined with his war service file, suggests that they might be the children of John Murphy and Mary Smith who registered the births of only three children in Footscray, Victoria, from 1887 to 1892 - Amanda not being one of them.
