Biography

Mabel was born in 1879. She is the daughter of Frederick Murphy and Clarissa Cheesman. ^[1]

The 1881 Census finds her living on Lake Road, Portsea, the youngest in her family. ^[2]

1901 finds much change: Brother Fredrick is now head of household, and the family is living in Camberwell, London, her occupation given as dressmaker. ^[3]

1911 - still working as a dressmaker, living in Camberwell with brother Edwin as head of household. ^[4]
