Biography

Mahé, Minnie Cecilia – 101, Villa St Joseph-du-Lac, formerly of Yarmouth and Wedgeport, passed away March 14, 2009, in the Villa. Born in Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., on August 7, 1907, she was a daughter of the late William and Frances (LeBlanc) Murphy. Minnie was a longtime resident of both Wedgeport and Yarmouth and an avid gardener. Surviving are daughter, Vivian Dixon, Yarmouth; sisters, Josephine Cotreau, Wedgeport; Norma LeBlanc, Lynn, Mass.; grandchildren, Cynthia Anne Rogers, New Minas; Christopher Dixon, Calgary; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Amanda and Sean and special nephew, Eldon. She was predeceased by son, Connie, in infancy; brothers, William, Leo, Walter, Roderick, Loren, Patrick, Michael, Jack and Willard, in infancy; sisters, Marguerite and Madeline. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel at a later date. Interment will take place St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only.
