Elizabeth was born about 1789, in Rowan County, North Carolina, probably in or near the city of Salisbury. She married Joseph Weant when she was about 19. The 1850 census finds her as a 61 year old female head of household, with three of her oldest son's children living with her, even though her son was still alive. She passed away after 1850.
