Biography
This profile is part of the Murray Name Study.
Archibald Murray of Blackbarony, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Murray of Blackbarony, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Cockburn. [1]
He married Mary Keith, daughter of William, 7th Earl Marischal. They had five sons: Six Alexander of Blackbarony; Capt. Archbald; William; John; and George.
In 1664 he was living at Borrowstounness, Linlithgowshire. Subsequently he was in Peeblesshire where he was Member of Parliament for that county from 1661-1700.
