I have been doing my family research for over 40 years, both the old fashioned way and on the computer through Ancestry.com. I have 5 branches to my tree which encompass about 3500 individuals. I have traced my family to the "Mayflower" and beyond and to the era of "William the Conquerer" ..... I am now 82 years of age and I am very much interested in adding my family to the "WORLD TREE". LORD willing I hope I will be able to complete the task.....

  • First-hand information. Entered by Evelyn Murray McKelvey at registration.

The entire WEIR/HIBBARD & MURRAY/GRAY family tree was compiled on ANCESTRY.COM from my Family Records, LDS Family Search, Federal Census Reports, Naturalization Papers and Property Deeds, Immigration Reports and the "Genealogy of the Hibbard Family written by Augustine George Hibbard in 1901" ; as well as information received from The Cumbria Family History Society and the Bishop's Transcripts of Cumbria, England.

I plan to edit each profile with source info as time permits upon completion of GEDCOM submissions. Lord willing!

UPDATE: Well it is Sept. 27, 2016 and my editing has begun .... I am writing this just to see how long it might take ....... or I will forget when I started. It's now February, 2018 and I am still editing, I am now 83. BACK TO WORK!

NOTE; I am an 8TH Cousin 1 x removed to Lady Diana Spencer Windsor........ Our 7th Great Grandfathers were brothers. This makes me a 9th Cousin 1 x removed from the future King of England, HRH William Windsor. I received a correction on this relationship calculation from Gilly Wood on 1/21/17. Thank you, Gilly.

I am also, 17th Cousins 5 x removed to Alexander Hamilton.

My grandmother, my Father's mother, a beautiful lady, quiet and serene .......Name was changed from DAVIES at immigration.
A branch of the Murray Tree - mostly medical people - started at the NEW JERSEY SHORE & NEW SWEDEN COLONY & QUAKERS
My 2nd Great Grandmother's Family - with the most amazing history. - MAYFLOWER DESCENDANTS. ALSO, 8TH COUSIN TO LADY DIANA SPENCER.
My Mother's Mother, started with Kreider and changed to Kreater. A really beautiful lady who had an enormous impact on my life.
I am interested to see where this may lead me.
My MAYFLOWER connection comes through my 5th Great grandmother, Martha Durkee (1705). She married John Hibbard (1704). She appears in the "Mayflower Births & Deaths" listings.
My late Husband's Family - another amazing history. - PENNSYLVANIA TRAILBLAZERS connected to the BYERLY FAMILY.
My Father's Family - late comers to America. - STONE MASONS, built Churches in Pittsburgh, PA.
My HANKINS branch were QUAKERS, they married into the STEELMAN branch from NEW SWEDEN.
Thanks to the RELATIONSHIP FINDER, I have learned that I have a direct bloodline relationship to 15 of our 45 Presidents; all through my HIBBARD CONNECTION and I am more than grateful for that information.
At least 3 of my tree branches began with the quaker migration to America. HANKINS & MASTERS & WELLS
My Mother's Family - connected to the Hibbard's - MIGRATED TO CANDA & MASSACHUETTS COLONY & then W. Pennsylvania & W. VA....
I am interested in seeing these errors wiped out!

Hi Evelyn,

In researching the Brewster family I came across two Mary Brewsters born 18 March 1744 : Brewster 1560 and Brewster 2311. Looks like the same person. Should they be merged? Shari Maria (Linton) Brewster

Hi Evelyn,

Not related at all. If I emailed you it was because I am a Data Doctor and messaged you about a discrepancy of some sort. Surname is a coincidence

I think your Eve Margaret Schley (Schley-173) is the same as my Schley-14. My Schley -14 has a lot more info on her - husband, etc.

If you know how to merge them, I'd recommend we do that!

Tom Baker Your (somewhat) distant counsin here in Richmond, VA area

Good work. Have you considered looking at Jean Jane "Marilyn" Ewing as the mother of Thomas Jone Hankins? There are numerous references in other family trees that suggest she if the mother.

Thanks for the information. FindAGrave is not always a reliable source, especially for people born in the 1600's. There is no similar requirement for original sources on FIndAGrave.

Hi Evelyn, I have a Murray line too but to MD early (1680). Also a Long line but not the southern group I suggested a merge for. I wadn't exactly sure which Richard should be merged with which, and hoped that since it was your profile you would fill in the blanks as well as the merge. Could you take another look? Thanks so much.

On 6 Dec 2017 at 18:44 GMT Dale B Hankins wrote:

Evelyn, if you noticed on the note I wrote for Hankins-1069 as reason for the merge, I entered the name and Dates and then accidentally created the new profile. It is our Thomas John Hankins born 1700 Burlington NJ d1748. There is now way to delete the accidental profile and the information I entered is the same for Hankins-115.
