Jane Murray was named as the mother of Catharine Ireland who was born about 1826 and baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 26 October 1826.[1]
In 1851 Jane was living with her husband John, children Thomas and Catharine, a niece Sidney Sinclair, and a one year old child called "Donald Dallas". John's trade was said to be "owner of 7 houses" and the family lived in Murray Street in Pulteneytown, Wick, Caithness.[2]
Could Jean be the same woman as Jane Murray, also born 1781, who married James Georgeson? Further information is needed - it is possible the two women were cousins, for example. Another possible duplicate profile is this one: Jean Murray, daughter of David Murray.
