According to Red Book of Scotland vol 7 p238 that although there is no proof this profile was probably also father of William de Moray who acquired the lands of Drumsergard and Sir Malcolm de Moray appointed Sheriff of Perth from whom the Morays of Tullibardine descend (presumably this is Malcolm Murray)

Moravia-14 and Murray-349 appear to represent the same person because: I agree that on Wikitree they have 2 different fathers, but Moray-349s parentage is in error (on Wikitree there were 2 sons of Hugh Freskin, Moray-349 and Moravia-25 who were both titled 1st Earl of Sutherland). I was intending to fix all this after the merge.

Moravia-14 and Murray-349 do not represent the same person because: The two Williams had DIFFERENT fathers. William of Petyn is shown here.

Moravia-14 and Murray-349 appear to represent the same person because: currently Hugh Freskin de Moravia has two sons named William. The second of these is a Bothwell and belongs to the other major branch (see Doug Straiton's comment).

Hi. I think this is an incorrect connection and will need to review. The William, eldest son to Hugh de Moravia, Lord of Sutherland and Duffus, inherited Sutherland and became the Earl of Sutherland. The William that was progenitor of the Murray of Bothwell was William, second son of William de Moravia (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Moray-99)
