Biography
Samuel Murray was born on 26 Jun 1810 in Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, Scotland to parents John Murray and Hannah McKean. He married first Mary Elizabeth Frazier on 20 Apr 1835 in Wigtown, Scotland. Children: Stewart Frazier, Hannah, John H, Alexander Frazier. They immigrated to America in 1835, arriving in New York on 20 Jul 1835. After Mary died in 1844 he married second Martha Ann Sanders (widow of Strang) on 14 Oct 1845 in Greene, Illinois.
