This is the time for the annual 2024 check in with members of the Military and War Project. Have you been active during the last six months in the Military and War Project? Do you want to remain working with this project? Note that it is a requirement to respond to the Military and War Project Check-ins. Please respond to this message by clicking the reply button below this message, to post your answer. I look forward to hearing from you..
We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the Military and War Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
Best wishes,
Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project
Hello Mary, yes I am still involved in the MAW Project! I was working on space pages for US Colored Troops regiments from the American Civil War just a couple months ago; I have had an interruption in my WikiTreeing due to an international move from Europe to the US. Once my household goods shipment arrives (hopefully sometime this month) I will be back to working daily. Thanks for checking in! ~Sarah
Thanks for the reply to the Military and War Check in, Sarah. I figured you would be active. I have thus marked you active for working on the space pages for the Civil War Colored Troops regiments.
Sarah, Greetings from the Military and War Project. We are doing the six month check-in with members.. Have you been active in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the Military and War Project that you respond to these check-ins. To make bookkeeping easier, just click Reply to this message on your own page, add your reply, then SAVE. I look forward to hearing from you..
Many thanks,
Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project
Sarah, Thank you for joining the December USBH Connecting Challenge and helping us create 10523 new profiles. We met our goal of creating 50,000 new profiles in 2021!
We’ve started the January challenge here: January Connecting Challenge. We are working toward a goal of 150,000 total profiles in 2022.
Sarah (Murtaugh) Heiney created 422 new profiles during the December 2021 US Black Heritage Project Connecting Challenge.
Hi! I’m very new to this so I may be totally wrong. My great grandfather’s obituary lists his parents as Lizare Croteau and Marie Gingras Croteau, and you’re managing a Marie that might match up date and country-wise. Any chance it’s the same Marie?
can we add a Cemetery Project to the US Black Heritage Project like the news about the Columbian Harmony Cemetery, Washington, District of Columbia. Thank you Carole (not a Member, just a concerned person)
Hello Sarah, hope all is well with you. I was updating my profile for Mary Mae Cupp, Cupp- 747, a 3rd cousin 2XR of mine. I also updated her husbands, Harley Jay Van Meter, Van_Meter-749, you are the profile manager for him. I added more Family Search source citations I found, and also wrote him an in-line biography. Thank-you
box is for profiles that are managed by the Project. (It actually adds a category to the profile that says the profile is Project-Managed.) If the Project is not the manager (in this case, the profile was orphaned) then it shouldn't have the box.
Please see https://groups.google.com/g/wikitrees-african-american-project/c/WgKD7xzwblI - I'm a member of the US Black Heritage Project and these profiles should be project-managed. All are profiles of the 1936-1938 Federal Writers Project capturing the narratives of former slaves, and are just awaiting project members to take an interest and continue the work.
I'm sorry for posting here, you can delete .
I've been trying to get the US History Project Badge. I've posted where I was told to post. Everyone seems to send me somewhere else to post. James Paxton G2G6 send me the following message. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Welcome Dan!
