Morning Review 24 March 1912 Rev. T.E. Muse

Sat. morn at 10:55 died at home 402 West Wilson St. being feeble health for some

time.Came to texas yrs ago from Ms. he has lived here the past 10 yrs. Baptist

minister leaves a widow five children two sons & three daughters; M.G. Muse,

Beaumont; Ewell H. Muse dallas; Mrs. W.E. Johnson; Mrs. Anna Belle Fisher, Miss

Mattie Muse, Cleburne Funeral at residence at 4 o'clock.

This man is THOMAS EWELL MUSE, b Jan 1844 in Franklin Co TN. He was the son of

William B. Grove Muse & wife Susan. He married Edna JOHN 3 Jan 1867 in Franklin

Co. He's on the 1850 Franklin Co census with his parents, in 1860 still at home

with his widowed mother Susan, in 1870 with wife Edna, daughter Mariah (Mattie)

age 2, and his mother.

By 1880 he was in Milford Co TX & had Mattie, 12, Jennie Sue, 9, Marshall, 4, &

Annie Belle, 1. In 1900 he was in Colorado Co TX, & daughters Mattie, 32, &

Annie Bell, 21, were still unmarried. He was 55 in 1900. Edna was 52.


The son Ewell mentioned in the obit , was evidently born after 1880 & had left

home by 1900. Daughter Jennie Sue must be the "Mrs. W.E. Johnson" in the

obituary. Son Marshall is the "M.G. Muse of Beaumont."


Thomas Ewell is of the 7th generation. His lineage is:
