Biography

David was born in Jefferson Twp, Washington, IN on 24 Mar 1823, the youngest of the seven children of David Myers and Mary Bradley. He married Nancy Hughes, daughter of Jesse and Charity (Griffin) Hughes, on 15 Sep 1849.^[1] They had six children, four of whom were still living in 1884 :

1840 : Census records, consecutively, in Monroe, Washington, IN^[2] :

• Jacob Moyers (2 males aged 20-30, 1 male aged 15-20), 1 female aged 50-60, 1 female aged 15-20, 1 female under 5) - presumed to be Jacob with his brothers Joseph and David, his wife and son, and either his mother or mother-in-law
• Sol. Moyers (aged 20-30, 1 female aged 20-30, 1 female aged 5-10, 1 female under 5)
• Jonas Moyers (aged 20-30, 1 male aged 5-10, 1 male under 5, 1 female aged 20-30)

These are presumed to be the sons of David and Mary as mentioned in David's will.
