Biography

Henry was born probably born around 1750. He was the son of Ulrich and Hannah Myers. Henry Myers married Hannah MIller around 1773. She is believed to be the daughter of Ludwig Millar. Henry and Hannah had 13 children. Their oldest child was probably Elizabeth, who was born August 25, 1774.

Note: Henry has been confused with a Henry Myers who died in 1842 in Ripley County, Indiana. He is listed on Wikitree under Myers-14117. This Henry Myers died around 1825 in Montgomery Co., KY. It is possible he is related to the Henry who died in Ripley County in 1842.

Henry, Wolrick (Ulrich), and George Myers are included on the 1773 Tax List for Bedford, Pennsylvania. It appears the Myers lived in the northeast corner of Monongalia Co., VA. This area became part of Fayette County when it was created in 1783. This is the same area that was part of Bedford County, PA in 1773, when the Myers were listed on the tax list for that county.

Henry Myers, his parents, and his siblings lived on Dunlap Creek in what became present day Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Henry's father Ulrich Myers died on January 25, 1777 in Monongalia Co., VA. This information is given in a deed (Fayette County Deed Book Volume E, p. 6) in Fayette County, PA. On September 17, 1800. the children of Ulrich and Hannah Meyer sold their parents' land. Information on this deed is given in a book by Louise Cook on the Myers family.

Fayette County, PA Deed Book A, page 312: 3 March, 1779 Henry Myers sells to George Colvin of Monongalia Co., Va. for 20 pounds. Sells part of land willed to him by Ulrick Myers.

Fayette County, PA Deed Book A, page 133: Mar. 26, 1787, recorded May 14, 1787 Henry Myers to Jacob Easter. Land adjoins land of Lewis Miller. Henry Myers wife Hannah.

Fayette County, PA Deed Book A, page 208: Henry Myers sells to Ludwig Miller, 200 Acres for 10 lbs. (Sold Warrant to land) Recorded Mar. 17, 1788, Land in Menallen and German Two.

Henry Myers was listed on the 1790 Fayette County, PA Census with one male over the age of 15, three males age 0-15 years, and six females.

Meyers-2031 and Myers-10401 appear to represent the same person because: Myers is the name in both profiles, plus the name in find a grave. Same find a grave on both profiles. spouse in process of merge too
