THOMAS HENRY MYERS from Ansley, Custer Co, NE, a white person, 31 years of age, a resident of Ansley, NE, born in Illinois and whose father's name was Nicholus Myers and whose mother's maiden name is Mary J Kinman, and MISS NETTIE HARRIS, a white person, 22 years of age, a resident of Ansley, Custer Co, NE born in Nebraska and whose father's name is George Anton Harris and whose mother's maiden name was Anna (Bunger) and who are the parties for the marriage of whom a license is applied for. Said parties are of sound mind and unmarried and not cousins or related in any degree prohibited by the laws of this state from contracting marriage, and may lawfully contract and be joined in marriage. Thomas Henry Myers, age 71 years, 3 months, and 3 days, departed this life at the St. Marys Hospital in Quincy, IL, Friday morning, February 4, 1949 at 8:05 a.m. after a prolonged illness. Altho he had been suffering with a heart condition and other complications for some time, his passing came as a distinct shock to relatives and friends. His condition became critical and he was taken to the hospital Monday, January 31, 1949 and died February 4, 1949.

(February 4, 1949) in St Mary Hospital at Quincy, IL will be held Sunday afternoon, (February 6, 1949) at 3 pm in the Augusta Christian church. Burial will be in the Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, Hancock Co, IL.
Mr Myers, a son of Nicholas and Mary Myers, was born near Camden, IL in September 1, 1877. He was married in Nebraska, June 22, 1910 to Miss Nettie Harris who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Lawrence Myers of Good Hope, Robert Myers of Augusta, IL, and Richard and Wayne Myers both of Bowen, IL; two daughers, Mrs Fairy Maye (Myers) Bourcard of Warsaw, IL and Mrs Lucille Yingling of Ellenwood, KS; a sister, Mrs Josephine Cooper of Quincy, IL; a brother Edward Myers of Joy, IL and 10 grandchildren.
