Myers, Jr., age 67 of Erie, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 following a battle with cancer. Journey was born on August 7, 1945 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Journey W., Sr. and Goldie Skaggs Myers. He had resided in Erie for over 25 years. Journey was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post #3390. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country and western music and watching war movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Delores and Carolyn and two brothers: Roger and Johnny. Survivors include his beloved wife of 17 years, Diana Varner Myers; five children: Amanda Greenwalt of Jamestown, N.Y., Karl Myers (Deserai), Jessica Myers, James Myers and Katelynn Myers all of Erie; one sister, Wanda and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8 p.m. Private interment will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
