Steve was a person that if you told him he couldn't do something he would prove you wrong I still remember him telling me it's not where you've been in life it's where you end up in the end he was a welder and grinder many years for S & H gears rebuilders which was named after Stan and Helen Birdwell,which was located on the west side of Evansville just off of Broadway on Bosse ave,,he attended the old White school located near redbank road in Evansville he started his own gear rebuilding shop and named it S&J after him and his wife there was much Steve could not do when it came to a job he seemed to be a jack of all trades
