Does anyone know if this is the Col. John E. Myrick who was involved in the Regulator Moderator War in Shelby County, Texas in 1840-1844? Supposedly John Myrick was the intended target of a murder plot during this feud. John is also known for establishing a ferry in Shelby County, Texas.
