Pope Clement II Mörsleben is Notable.

Suidger, Graf von Morsleben und Hornburg was born in Saxony.[1]

Platina[2] states:

Clement the Second, before called Syndegerus, Bishop of Bamberg, was made Pope in the council, by the consent, or rather authority and command of Henry III, who having received at this Pope's hands the imperial crown, caused the Romans to take an oath after a form he prescribed, not to meddle in the election of any Pope, except by a command from him.

He was elected on 24 Dec 1046, enthroned at Rome 25 Dec 1046 and took the name Pope Clement II.[1]

He was poisoned and died on 9 October 1047.[1][2]
